Normalcy

Lately I have come to the conclusion that a normal life terrifies me. There is nothing appealing to me about a college degree. There is nothing appealing in a 40 hour work week. There is nothing appealing about a wife and kids. Where's the excitement? The spontaneity? I wish I could fit everything in my life into one single bag and start walking just to see where I end up. Imagine it: a different city every night. No stress, no attachment, no obligations. Sharks keep moving, never sleeping, always swimming.

I want more. I want more than I have seen, I want more than what most see. I never want to stop learning/observing/absorbing. I want freedom from all the things that hold me back and tie me down. I want to live. I want to live a real and full life. Preferably short. But death is the least of my concerns.

down not out

Somedays I feel like a modern day reincarnation of Atlas.
Other days I feel like I have nothing to worry about.
The second is probably more accurate, but I can't convince myself of it.

What I've been up to/in to lately:
Fingers Crossed - started playing/writing with this band recently. check out the new tune.
New Song

Stand Your Ground - Helped these dudes write a song. They also just posted two new ones on their 'space. Check it if you're into Misery Signals/This is Hell/Shai Hulud.

Scott Adams - God's Debris. Picked this up a minute ago. So far, so good. Interesting, thought producing, mind boggling read.

Whats keeping me going: Why? - Alopecia, Nachtmystium - Assassins Black Meddle Pt. 1, Madball - Hold it Down, Clutch - self-titled

tourtourtour

So I've been on tour for a little over two weeks now with a band called Reign Supreme. We did This is Hardcore this past weekend. Cool, but very long.

Right now I'm in syracuse new york crashing on tomdom's floor. He did an awesome show, took care of us, even cooked for us! Go check out his band.

After the show we went to some late night diner called Cosmos and ate, drew on money, and made fart noises. This was followed by a lengthy game of poo-wallet. We filled a wallet with expired and used gift cards, receipts, etc. Even a dollar bill. And to top it off, some shit directly in the wallet where the money should be. We placed it in strategic locations near a bar filled with sorostitutes and frat boy douche bags and the fun ensued. At least one bro got shit on his fingers. Eventually the wallet was picked up, pocketed, and carried away.

In the morning we leave for Canada again. If you have never been to canada, what the fuck are you sleeping for? Every girl in Canada is at least an eight. The shows are rad, too.

If you feel like looking I've been posting random tour shots on my flickr. Go check them out:

Maybe I'll update this again eventually. Time for bed. Canada tomorrow. Hell yeah.

P.S. Someone buy me this:

P.P.S. I'll be home at this:

Whats up, Wes?

So I moved into my new apartment about a week ago. The first night here I had no utilities (this means running water and working electricity), and I had six friends from boston stay the night and party. It was pretty rude.

The apartment is pretty cool. We got the Cadillac compared to our friends/neighbors. Our only problem is a whole in our kitchen ceiling. They have black mold, I'm pretty sure. We are both unfortunate when it comes to our upstairs neighbors. They have a family of Hispanics living above them, including one eight legged child. There is always an ever-so-subtle noise of horse hooves above them. Or maybe a drove of woodpeckers. We were blessed with having a single african american male above us. When i say african-american, i mean he immigrated here from Africa. He loves the american music and is constantly bumping.

Also worth mentioning, I turn eighteen on wednesday. I am having a PARTAY on Friday the 20th. Be there. I am also getting tattooed on my birthday. Stoked.

Bbbrad is slowly turning me into a nerd. I got a twitter. Follow me. Devices updates on, plz.

xoxo
Wes.
